Lauren Smith – RESEARCH TRAINEE

Lauren recently completed her Bachelor’s Degree in French and Spanish at the University of Southampton, during which she completed a Spanish language research project exploring the differing representation of male and female celebrities in the Spanish digital tabloid press. She has experience editing, updating and marketing English for Academic Purposes Toolkits, aimed to support university students who use English as a second or other language, and has also developed resources and lessons used to Teach English remotely to non-English speakers. She joined NCELP in October of 2022 as a Research Trainee.
