The new minister of state for schools (Robin Walker) visited an NCELP Lead School: Cardinal Hume, in Gateshead, Newcastle on 14th October. Jane Wood (NCELP Specialist Teacher) and Emma Marsden (NCELP Director) talked to the minister about key aspects of the foreign language pedagogy being adopted by NCELP schools and some of the research informing it. The minister also saw part of a Spanish lesson and talked to some pupils and the head teacher about their experiences of NCELP’s activities.
