Rachel Hawkes, co-director of NCELP spoke today at the launch of a new campaigning group: Language Analysis in Schools: Education and Research (LASER).

Rachel spoke about NCELP’s approach to FL pedagogy that is both research-led and practice-informed, taking into account the time-poor context of UK curriculum FL learning. She focused on the recent MFL Pedagogy Review recommendations including principles for teaching phonics, vocabulary, grammar and their combination in meaningful practice, and highlighted aspects of synergy with LASER.
