Rachel Hawkes gave a presentation at the French Teachers’ Days, Institut Français, London on Saturday 5 October 2019.
In this session she briefly reviewed motivation for language learning in the UK context then, leaving aside factors beyond teachers’ control, focused on the practical pedagogy and classroom factors that teachers can influence to increase the intrinsic motivation of students.
